OPPORTUNITIES
Trail Maintenance. Assist with trail maintenance tasks such as weed-wacking overgrown shrubs and other small plants along the trail system, chainsawing downed trees, and installing mulch in seasonally wet sections of trail.
Build. Help to build and install "bog bridges" and other helpful structures along the trail system.
Provide for Wildlife. Assist with the building and installation of structures for the benefit of native wildlife at Glade Run Lake. These can include houses for wood ducks, blue birds, and bats, basking platforms for turtles, aquatic structures for fish habitat, and many others.

Note: Any wildlife structures installed at Glade Run Lake Park must first be approved by the Glade Run Lake Conservancy.
Plant. Get your hands dirty by helping to plant trees, shrubs, and wildflowers in various part of the park. By adding to the diversity of native plant species found at Glade Run Lake, more species of wildlife such as insects, birds, and various species of land dwelling animals can be supported.

Note: Any plantings at Glade Run Lake Park must first be approved by the Glade Run Lake Conservancy.
Pull Invasive Plants. Invasive plant species can spread quickly and displace native plants, prevent native plant growth, and create monocultures. Help to pull and dispose of these harmful species from Glade Run Lake Park so we can make more room for our beautiful native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.
Public Outreach. Serve as a representative of the Glade Run Lake Conservancy (GRLC) at local events including festivals, fairs, and community gatherings. Provide literature and other forms of information on the GRLC to interested individuals.
Fundraise. Help to plan, coordinate, and host fundraisers for the purpose of raising money to benefit Glade Run Lake and the surrounding park land. Past GRLC fundraisers have included three 10K WOW (Where's Our Water) races.
